is a multi-sensory experience that combines real physical elements with the technology of Augmented Reality. The patented technology HyperReal-SIM of Soldamatic includes real equipment, such as a welding torch and mask, as well as a calibration process. The calibration of Soldamatic comprehends the study of the behavior of the different welding procedures (WPS) in a real environment and different scenarios. The results are taken as software metrics of the simulation, creating a hyperrealist experience of welding on the most complex and professional training platform that actually exists.
Why HyperReal-Sim?
Welding is not a game. The proper training and skills development for a welder is essential; a minimum mistake in welding can be a catastrophe or even millionaire losses.
Training systems and methodologies in welding must guarantee that welders can integrate themselves into the labor market, fulfilling the high-quality standards required by the industry.
Calibration
The welding simulation is parameterized based on the behaviour of a WPS in a real environment and under different scenarios (for example, analysis of macrographs, video recording of the weld bath, the welding sound, etc). The results are taken as incomes on the software development process collecting all the variables: sound, image, bath, time… and the algorithms translate this information in a code applied on the simulation.

Augmented Reality
Integrates into the real world the simulation, along with the different elements used in the real welding process: torch, mask, joints, and equipment. This allows the users to interact with the practice using natural body movements, as well as if they were doing a real practice, developing muscle memory, and exercising a real position.
